The Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) through Bina Marga Directorat General has completed the construction of Pulau Balang Bridge in East Kalimantan Province which connects Balikpapan City and Penajam Paser Utara Regency. The bridge is not only the main road for logistical transportation in the areas but also as one of the accesses of the New Capital City (IKN) Nusantara. The construction comprises of the main bridge structure of 804 meters in total length, approach slabs with the total length of 167 meters and access roads of 1,807 meters in length.
