Indonesia officially became the full member of BRICS on 6^th January 2025. BRICS now comprises more than 4% of the global population and approximately 27% of the global Gross Domestic Product (GDP), making BRICS a significant economic block in the international economy. This membership will expand Indonesia’s potential for economic, trade and investment collaborations and their continuations between the BRICS members, which includes the access to the New Development Bank (NDB), founded by BRICS.
