Central Bank of Indonesia has decided to maintain the key interest rate at 3.5%, the lowest since the Seven-Day Reverse Repo Rate (7DRRR) was introduced in 2016, to protect the Rupiah exchange rate amid market uncertainty. BI also kept the deposit facility rate at 2.75% and the lending facility rate at 4.25%. Meanwhile, the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) reported that annual inflation declined to 1.38% in January, lower than the projected 3% for this year.
