The Board of Governors of the Bank of Indonesia (BI) cut the benchmark key interest rate as of September 2025 by 25 basis points (bps) to 4.75%. In the same month, the deposit facility interest rate was cut by 50 bps to 3.75%, while the lending facility rate was cut by 25 bps to 5.50%. The decisions are in line with the effort to boost the economy and to maintain the estimated 2025 and 2026 inflation rates in the 2.5±1% range, as well as to stabilize Rupiah’s exchange rate with its fundamental.
