The Bank of Indonesia (BI) reported that the Current Account Deficit in the second quarter of 2025 at US$3 billion, ending the declining CAD trend in the last three quarters. BI stated that this deficit was relatively low despite higher than the deficit of US$0.2 billion in the previous quarter. The central bank also noted that the National Payment Balance (NPI) in the second quarter of 2025 was at US$6.7 billion with the foreign exchange reserve as of the end of June recorded at US$152.6 billion.
